When registering for an account and as part of the buying and selling process, we collect some personal information from you such as your email address, billing/shipping address, phone number and full name.

When you browse our store, your computer’s Internet protocol (IP) address is automatically transmitted to us. This helps us to both fight fraud and it provides us with technical information about your browser and operating system, which helps us to ensure a positive experience for a wide variety of users.

After you make a purchase and you are successfully authenticated, you may be automatically opted in to our marketing emails. These emails generally contain information about our store, new products and other updates.

CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you register for an account and/or place an order with us, you expressly providing your consent to our collecting your data and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like User Authentication, you have the opportunity to refuse; however, we will not be able to process any of your orders.

How do I withdraw my consent?

DISCLOSURE

If we are required by law and/or if you violate our Terms of Service, we may disclose your information to law enforcement to the extent permitted, and/or use this information in our fraud prevention practices.

When you apply to be a Volume Partner ("bulk seller") we may disclose your name and/or reported selling experience with our industry partners for the purposes of fraud detection, prevention and/or market research.

PAYMENT

All of our Credit/Debit card transactions are processed securely via PayPal in a pop-up window where PayPal assumes liability and responsibility for the secure transmission and (if applicable) storage of your payment information.

GiftCard Mart does not retain any of your payment card information outside of the randomized transaction token transmitted to us by PayPal

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us, such as our Knowledge Based Authentication quizzes used to authenticate new customers.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Please remember, certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in different jurisdictions than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the regulations/statutes of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States Laws and Regulations, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms and Conditions of service.
